Default Cylinder head question

Hello, Bill from the burbs. So I want to jerk the 6 out of the fox body and throw in a 302. I come up with a block crank and 2 sets of heads. Bare 302 and complete 289. I find the spreadsheet of codes but, these 289shave 1.78 valves and not screw studs. So I would ask, what are these C30E heads?

I think you are on the wrong forum. A fox was from 79-93, this is the classic forum 65-73.

For the heads I would get the 302 heads ported and polished and assemble them. They will give you better performance than the 289 heads which would more than likely should be rebuilt anyways.

should have casting numbers under the intake runners (on the bottom of the heads). FYI the 289 heads will offer little benfit other than a smaller chamber (higher compression) but your going to need hardened ex. seats installed if you plan on running unleaded fuel.
