Default Best sounding exhaust for 289

Im getting everything done to my68 fastbackand having the 289 rebuilt. Im sticking a set of long tube headers on and wanted to know what the best sounding exhaust for a 289 with headers would be. I grew up on the old glass packs and always liked them but there seems to be tons of different kinds out there now. I want something that is loud and throaty. Im not worried about keeping it quiet, but dont want to just straight pipe either. Loud mufflers arent usually a problem in South Dakota.

Flowmaster 40's dumped will sound WICKED. Its what I had on both my 289's, and most people thought I was running a big block. Everywhere I went, people told me it sounded good. It doesn't get any throatier than that.

If you do want really loud and no straight pipes you need to get glasspacks or cherry bombs again.

Fows/Fows/Flows. Go with the 2 chamber Flowmasters and you'll never go back.

im gona say no to the flows, thats just me though. not knocking them, they are good exhause dont get my wrong. but personaly, i like macs on anX orH pipe. and on some tri y;s (mainly because they are great street headers)

maybe im biased because i have macs? [8D]
but ive had flows and glass packs too and i like the macs

Do you have any sound clips with the MAC mufflers? Im thinking of getting MAC LT headers and pro-dumps.
