Ooh thats bad, looks like the chrome is actually cracking. If it isn't and thats just how it looked because of the flash you could try some fine steel wool and chrome polish like mothers or another brand. But from the looks of it it probably needs to be replaced to look pretty and shiny again.

6 replies and all say the same :-) never seen that before.
Thanks a lot. will get new ones at some stage
remicks: the flash enhanced it a bit, but that's about what they look. I actually never saw it until I took this picture last night.
I had the picture taken to explain what other parts I need.
