Fender removal
Any tips/ problems removing the front fenders? Looks easy enough, just bolts. Thought I'd ask before I dug into it. Plan to check the inners and cowls for hidden rust. The car is a 69 vert. with export brace and monte carlo bar. Mainly worried about getting it back on and aligned properly.

If your main concern is aligning it back to the way it is now, then try this. Drill a 1/8" hole through the fender and fender well right next to a few of the mounting bolts. Then when you replace the fenders you can just stick the drill bit back in the holes to align before tightening the bolts. Don't forget to paint a little primer or something in the holes after reinstalling to prevent rust.
Also when removing the upper fender bolts you may find some are stuck. Don't force them because the J-nuts may tear the holes on the upper fender well flange. If they are stuck, have a friend hold the J-nuts from underneath with some vise grips while you remove the bolts.
Good luck.

Tape the fender door edges to prevent chipping and if you put tape opposite of the fender on the doors, you can make alignment marks. Not sure about 69's but on my 66, there is a hidden bolt in the cowl support that has to be accessed from the inside of the car.
