Default Drum to Discs

Just picked up a '67 Mustang 289 C4 thatwas a recent 6 to 8 conversion - no PS or PB. I was a little underwhelmed with the braking and wanted to explore putting discs up front. How difficult is that and what kind of expense am I looking at to make the switch?

I did search the forum and must not be doing it right as I didn't get any matches.

Thanks!

well im doing mine here soon too. its around 800-1200 but you can go on ebay and theres a guy that sells a whole power front and rear disc brake kit for 1200! and it comes with instructions and shouldnt take any time at all. it will be a weekend project. its not simple but it takes some time.

just go to ebay and type in mustang conversion disc power

Go to the FAQ section at the top of Classics frint page. Then look for Section XI. This is the brakes FAQ area. If your decide to buy a front disc brake kit, expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $700 for the complete kit. If you have the wherewithall, you cna search the junk yardsand auto parts houses for what you'll need. WE have spent about $350 on all the parts we will needfor the Granada swap we are going to be doing next weekend. Good luck no matter waht you decide to do.
