Default Stalling after car is warmed up??

So my 65 289 starts fine when its cold. I dont have to pump the gas or anything. It always starts on the first try and idles smoooth. Thats until I drive it for awhile. Once the car gets to a running temp, it wants to stall at lights and is hard to start, until it cools down again. Then it fires up and idles perfect. Anybody have any clues? Thanks alot.

By the way. I have a Mallory ignittion box, pro oil, Mallory Dizzy, Weiand intake, Edelbrock Performer 4bbl w/ electric choke and I put an Edelbrock Performer Mech Fuel pump on that 289. Thanks

Is your electric choke opereating properly? It sounds like your choke is stuck on. If not, it sounds like you are just running rich.

Does it smell like excess fuel when it dies/warms up?

It doesnt smell like excess fuel, it just runs like crap and I have to stay on the gas to keep the car running and it runs like crap until it cools down. Then its fine again.

Pull out a couple spark plugs and look at them. See what color they are and if they have any deposits on them.

did you find the problem? My Holley electric choke acts similarly. I 've checked and adjusted vacuum, no problems there. Also hard as hell to start if it is warm....but I suppose the electric choke closes all the way regardless of temp....kinda miss my ole Autolite.
