Default I6 swapped for 289 - What next?

I am planning ongetting a '67 with a recent 289/c4 swap from the original I6. It still has the smaller rear with 4 lugs in the front and rear.

This car will be more of a local driver and wanted to know what benefits there would be to upgrading rear end versus costs? What else should I consider upgrading to front end and costs? I have already explored going to discs up front. Thanks to those who posted on my previous posts.

You need to change the front springs the hubs and brakes rear end is a must the 7.25 in it is weak i had one in a ranger and i exploded it with the 2.3 lol.Cheapest place i trust to buy one from is http://www.perogie.com/Rears.htm he sells used housings you can use 28 or 31 spline axles lsd or not gear ratio is up to you.If you want baer brakes cheap http://www.mustangsteve.com/cobrabrakes.html the cbora brakes are pbr same thing baer really is and alot cheaper but need 17s to clear them.
