I Intentionally "Unmatched" a 1968 Fastback
Forgive me for I have sinned.
Once long long ago (25 years) there was a young and foolish boy. He saved his money long and faithfully.
He sweated through many a day in the bean and hay fields. He saved all his money.
Then came the day he had enough to buy the car of his dreams!
Well not quite! A GT350 Shelby was out of the question. He could have bought a pretty nice 6 cylinder 1965 but he was into performance. He wanted a V8!
He had a talk with his dad... Ahh... his dad was wisein the ways of youth! A deal was struck!
A V-8 would be allowed as long as it had a 2BBL Carb. The hunt was on for a2892BBL but it was not to be.
A 1969 Mach 1 tempted him but is was 4BBL! Finallyacar was found! A 1968Fastback.
The 1968Fastback was black,V8, and 2 BBL. Although he really wanted a stick (he was after all a Bullitt Fan!) he would settle for an automatic.
And it did have AC which was a bit rare for a car of that era.
He saved his money over the next year and dreamed of what he would do when he was 18!
He did agree to a 2BBL but once he was of age all bets were off!
The weekend he turned 18 he was at a friends house pulling a 428"P" Code Police Interceptor from awrecked ex-police car.......
Thus died a matching number 1968 Fastback 390X-Code (2 BBL). 1 of 189. Forgive me please! The things kids will do!

OMG!! (Insert coniption fit here).
One of the reasons I picked the name Jaded was because I got tired of the purists when I was 18. I used to show my cars from the time I could drive. I have one first place trophy and one second place.
Frankly, it's your car, your money and your idea of a thrill. If you are turned on by mods, go for it, if you get off on matching numbers and the proper paint daub, who am I to negate your joy?
Now, quit goofing off and post some burnout videos.
