Default car wont start (sometimes)

alright, ive been having some issues with my car lately...the other day my old started just broke apart so i replaced it with a new one. well now when i go to start it it takes me turning the key a couple of times before the starter will even try to turn it over. my question is what could be causing this? im going back out in a little bit to make sure all my wires are nice and tight and im hoping thats the problem. anyone else have any ideas?

Sounds like a bad connection, or a corroded battery terminal.

When my battery terminals corrode, it does the same thing. Especially noticable when it's really cold out and it frosts, the moisture doesn't help.
