Will a 428 fit in a 1965-67 Mustang?

RE: Will a 428 fit in a 1965-67 Mustang?
The 428 will fit 67 and 68. The factory put in 390's in 67 and the 428 in 68 (both FE motors). The heads have a special exhaust manifold bolt pattern for the Mustang/Failane. T-Bird motor mounts would be different at the chassis.
The FE will not easily fit the 65-66 body unless you cut out or notch the shock towers and use aftermarket front suspension.
Good Luck.

It will in mine but I dont have shock towers.
If you do all the astro lube in the world wont help you.
Kay now im done acting like a punk.
The shock towers and cross member will be the problems on any FE motor.
If you have one all ready check the horsepower and either build a small block 5.0 with the same or more power or get a mustang 2 setup like I did.
If you can weld and do the work yourself the suspension kit would be the cheaper of the 2 imho.
