Thanks for the ideas. Just some updates. a very well known shop did the work when I first got the car in San Diego. Unfortunately I dont know whether they used good products (my bad!!).

I would never use air shocks, although I had them on my 70 challenger RT 20 years ago (Konis if I rememeber!).

I will try loosening the bolts next weekend. If any has any other experience with the sub frame connectors and chassis stiffeners I would appreciate your views.

now if you want some konis then go for it if they were good enough for shelby back then then they are good enough now just not air
