i own a 67 and i wanna convert my8' diffrentiel (ratio 3.8) to a limited slip and change the ratioto 3.0 cause i want more speed on the highway i found the crown and pinion (http://johnsmustang.com/Parts/details-12971.html) but i didn't find anything about the limited slip kit!!
Can anyone help me in exactly what do i need and where do i found?

You can just buy a new unit from Eaton etc, that's already set up with the clutch packs and everything. There's also the Detroit Tru-Trac, no clutches to wear out, does the same thing as an LSD dif, only it prolly does it better. Also, if you've never done a differential you prolly wanna find a shop you trust that can do it, they're not easy.

I'd really recommend going no lower than 3.25's. I do a lot of freeway driving in my 67 with 3.25's and they work just fine. I can cruise at 70mph at 3300rpm all day long, and they're a big step up from the stock 2.79 gears.

If it's an automatic, the torque converter (even a stock one) will "cover for" a slightly too-tall axle ratio. And the slightly taller gear will "cover for" the small amount of slippage across the torque converter that's requred for the thing to operate at all (assuming that it isn't one of those new-fangled lock-up devices). So a 3.00 would work just fine as part of that combination.
With a stick, especially a 4-speed with a 2.78 or numerically lower first gear ratio, you'll almost certainly be happier with the 3.25's unless gas mileage becomes the completely determining factor and you absolutely need that last highway mpg or so.
Mythumbnail car (never mind that it's from the other side of the street, the mechanical principles are still the same) has always been a manual tranny car,
was delivered with 3.08's (1979 fuel economy standards at work, not bad gearing overall, but not great either),
was driven with 2.56's for an extended period of time following parts breakage(you actually can live with this, given reasonable coordination and a bit of practice, but it's bog-slow from a dead stop and not something you'd choose out of any preference),
that eventually were swapped out for some 3.27's (best of the bunch with the 4-speed IMO).

what is the size of ur engine? min is 390 and 4speed manual and i thought about the 3.00 ratio cuz i dontknow i can accelerate from 0mph on the 3rd gear and doing burn out and btw if u looked at the video its done on the 2nd gear then when i pulled the brake it was the 3rd gear. but if u think its gonna be tall i prefered to keep a hot acceleration cuz i have a lot of moutain drive too.i dontknow what do u think is the best?

It depends on power, more bottom end power may have traction problems with more gear. It'll depend on your power, suspension, tires, road conditions and what you want out of it. I have a 302 in mine, and I have the rpm range for it, and it'd run faster with more gear.
