Default Transmission Type?

How do I tell what type of transmission I have in my Mustang? I have a 69 Mustang Coupe with an inline 6 and an automatic. I wanted to change the filter/gasket on the transmission pan, but see they have kits for a C4 and FMX transmission.

You can tell by the shape of the pan and the number of bolts that hold the pan on. If I remeber right the C4 has 11 and the FMX has 14 bolts holding their pans on.

109jb's got it right. 11 and 14.

Here's a link to pictures of the different pan gaskets.
