RE: reading spark plugs - one is different?
Yeah. I remember you blew the last motor up. LOL!!!
Maybe you should try something that isn't related to the Pinto or maybe just give it up all together and BUY a Pinto.
Like the one I posted before and than you and the guy around my way who's got a jacked up late 80's Crapmaro with 36 inch swampers on it can hang out together.
I dunno man. Try cleaning them off really good and run it again. Maybe someone got a small amount of oil into the cylinder and that's the end of it. Clean 'em run it and check it again. If it's the same, you've got a problem. GL!

ORIGINAL: my77stang
i just made the wires and the cap is brand new. checking them is no big deal, i can do that. i'd rather think maybe one of the older wires was bad but we'll see.

It looks like it's not firing. It could be electrical or mechanically based. Obviously, check your wire and cap, ( i know you did this already) Change it with a known good plug and then do a power balance check on your #5 to see if the rpm drops when you pull the wire.
mechanically, (slim chance) lack of fuel or compression.

replaced that one plug, got car back together, drove around the block a few times and it looks as clean as the rest - musta been a bad plug or just a fluke[8D]
