New member introduction and have a question.
Hello - I am new and would like to introduce myself. I just recently bought a 66 6 cylinder Mustang and am looking forward to driving it regularly as soon as I get it mechanically in order. I don't know much at all about Mustangs, but if anyone ever has a question about Galaxies, especially 62, feel free to ask. I am four years into an estimated eight year frame off restoration of my 62 XL. I also have a 63 driver.
Here is my question. Does anyone have a picture showing how the power steering hoses route around the control valve on a 66? I replaced the hoses and can't remember exactly how to route them. I know that I should have taken pictures before I took the old ones off, but I thought I would remember. This is on a 6 cylinder if that matters.
Thanks,
Dave Coleman

Welcome to the forum Dave!!
Sorry I can't really help you with regard to the power steering stuff as I have no experience with PS on Mustangs....

I say, scrap it entirely. It's not that hard to drive w/o P/S. Do upgrade to power (and disc) brakes tho! LOL!!! [8D]

RE: New member introduction and have a question.
I have a shop manual, but it doesn't have a good picture. At this point all I need help with is the return hose. I have been working with it for so long now that I have a good mental picture in my head of the area and a good description of how the return hose is routed around the control valve is all I need instead of a picture. It could be that the new hose I have isn't bent correctly. It is bent a little different than the one I took off, but that one looks like it may have been home made.

Thanks, great article with great pictures! If this is the same as a 6 cylinder, then I can see where I may have gone wrong. It gives me something to try tomorrow when I work on it again.
