Dropped her off for EXHAUST!!!
Is happy as a pig in S#!T a good expression?? I put her on the road for the first time since the rebuild.. Two problems.. first: I forgot to pull the emergency brake and didnt notice,, so when I stopped to correct the second problem my rear brakes were smoking (about a mile down the road at 40mph) The second problem was that i wasnt shifting out of second.. I was a quart low on fluid,, I stopped,, filled her up and away we went,,
IT WAS SOO LOUD, I had to drive through a big section of crowded down town and I set about every car alarm off that I passed,, my wife was following and told me thats all she saw was blinking lights everywhere,, I wouldnt drive that thing with open headers much more than to the shop,, with no interior in the car there was nothing to muffle the sound.. I was nearly deaf when i got out..
Idle was good, she responded well, and now all I need to do is everything else to the darned thing.. I cant wait.. I get it back tomorrow with 2.5" flowmaster 40's(that I picked up for $50/pair barely used) and an H pipe, running out from under the rear valance.. Hopefully its not too loud for the kids..
