Default What should under the back seat look like

Still new at this. Checking for rust problems. Anyone know if this is original appearance? As far as I know the carpet and pad are original. Under the pad is a cardboard/fiberboard type material which appears to be glued down with a black substance. Is this what Ford did? I do not want to scrape this up if I don't have to and the metal I can see looks real good. For background...this is an Illinois/Indianacar very well cared for with 110,000 miles. Has exterior rust repair over the back wheels and lower quarters and a maybe little on the driver's floor. There is no rust on anything in the engine compartment and from what I can see underneath the car the shocktowers have surface rust and maybe just little flaking at the very bottom. The front coil spring cover on the drivers sideis totally rusted out for some reason. Frame rails and extensions are clean. Cowl drains properly. Rear shackles and springs have surface rust. I'm thinking the back floor is OK.

Looks like its in good shape. I don't think the sound deading material should be glued down though. Mine wasn't. It may be stuck from just being there so long. The original material is made out of some nasty stuff!
