Yep, oil pressure switch is what I use. Anything less than 10psi and it shuts off. An inertial switch would be good to hook into the ignition of a carb'd engine....as the engine can run for quitea while on the fuel in the bowls, while a FI'd car will shut down quickly without the fuel pump.

I think even a carbureted car should have an intertia shutoff for the electric fuel pump, to keep it from pumping fuel out of a broken line.

Inertia shutoff on the ignition with an oil pressure shut off for the pump = no fuel pump in an accident.

fox mustangs are a great place to look for inertia switches very easy to get to open the trun remove the taillight trim in the trunk its right there a switch with 2 wires and a red button it, snag that and mount it in the rear of your car probably get one for adollar or 2 from the junk yard[8D]
