Ball Stud Control Valve Removal

RE: Ball Stud Control Valve Removal
I tried it with a pair of pliers but it looked as though it was on tight! I checked the top of the shaft to see if I could knock it out but to no avail.
@davecole
Any idea how to go about this?
Thanks!

Move the clamp out of the way, grab it with a pair of wire cutters as close as you can to the hole(not tight enough to cut through, but tight enough to get a good grip), and pull it out slowly and a little at a time using the wire cutters for leverage. Each time it comes out about an eighth of an inch, get a new grip close to the hole again.

Ok..i spent 20 mins under my car and now my hand ******* hurts!!! I sprayed it with WD-40 and grabbed it with a set of pliers and guess what..ITS NOT BUDGING..
could it be that because the ball stud is not in the pitman arm, the actual assembly is not rigid enough? it has some vertical play in it when i pull it...
In anycase...after getting a good grip it just slips off...ive been trying to take the stupid CV off since the past 2 days...this really isnt funny anymore
what the bloody hell can i do?!!

I hear the same about the pickle forks. They'll usually put a burr into whatever you're taking out or damage it in some way that comprimised the part, if you plan to use it again. Most places tell you to shock it. Hit it with a hammer from the side. if you are trying to get something out of the middle of something (i.e. removal of a ball joint) you are supposed toun-bolt it and hitthe side of the spindlefrom the outside until it drops out of the hole.
