SPARK PLUG WIRES?

RE: SPARK PLUG WIRES?
Spark plug wires are like shoe laces. Some like their's loud and bright....some like theirs to blend in.
I prefer stock Ford wires aready the proper length. I like how they look clean, without being gaudy or detracting from the motor.

RE: SPARK PLUG WIRES?
Taylor "pre-made" wires for a 5.0, looms from "Made for You", and a 94-95 Cobra dizzy cover...

RE: SPARK PLUG WIRES?
I have had trouble with the stock style wires being just too damn long as a rule, and sometimes a little too short when improved routing needs to be addressed to clear a header tube etc.
Terminating the cut to fit wires can be a PITA, especially when trying to get an engine up and running ASAP. They also suck when you get some of them on and decide it might be a good idea to reroute the looms..... but some of the wiresare already cut too short....
Crossfiring can be an issue, but in my experience this is usually only an issue one the wires are well past their service life. At this point induction is not an issue but instead the decay of the insulation creates a "path of least resistance" to another cylinder...
I have seen a few shattered pistons that I have attributed to this issue. All of these were on GM HEI equipped vehicles of the 70s, with well worn and old wires. Prior to this time, bad wiresusuallycausedenginemisses, not catastrophic engine failure...
