Default T and L engines

I am looking into getting a 347 Stroker from T and L engines (400hp 400lb), what carb would you recommend? I'm trying to get the most bang for the buck. Any help is appreciated.

hypeuretic pistons, insufficient oiling system for engine(hv oil pump not high pressure, basic oil pan, non hardened pump driveshaft),2 bolt block(no mention of a girdle), basic damper, cast crank, only ARP bolts on the heads.

it may be 400 hp/400tq but at 3600$ you get what you pay for it looks like.

for an engine that size, 600cfm should be good, AED is the best carb place out there...

I agree with you on this one!!! personally I'd check out ford strokers ..my 347 is being built by woody right now should be to my door soon and his work is personal and exceptional to none.......I feel all those hp and torque numbers are always inflated and a sales gimick.....anyway you can do better than a non forged set up and dart heads and no girdle.....I just purchased my 347 from ford strokers for 1900 and he uses probe kits = forged light weight pistons and cast steel crank and forged rods and I sent him my cam and stud girdle and he degrees all in for free and total was 1900 for the short block with shipping

something tells me T and L will toss in a ARP oil pump driveshaft and swap out the oil pump for very little money. I think you'd be doing very good buying a motor from them, it seems like they have their sh*t together pretty good.

btw, 600-650 would be good - after MUCH tinkering i have come to the conclusion that the BEST carb to buy is a proform because virtually everything is adjustable. they make a 600 and 650 with vacuum secondaries and electric choke so you'd have great streetability.

A) A high volume oil pump is perfect. There is no reason for a high pressure pump. And as has been said, I'm sure they'll throw an ARP oil pump driveshaft in there if you want one.

2) At 400hp, you don't need anything more than a 2-bolt main block. You don't even need a stud girdle.

III) There's nothing wrong with hypereutectic pistons as long as you're not using power adders. They're cheaper and lighter than forged (less rotating mass inertia) and much stronger than cast. The only real problem they have is that they can shatter under heavy detonation. As long as you have the car tuned properly, this shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't run them with a blower or nitrous, or even in a strip only car, but they're great for a NA street car.

Looking at what they've put into it, it looks a lot like a beefier version of my 331, for cheaper (ouch...). I'd say go for it.

As far as the carb goes, 600-650.

i agree wholeheartedly with everything you say cept a high pressure pump is better than a high volume pump. theres no reason to pump all the oil outta the pan.
