Edelbrock Performer RPM vs Weiand Steath- Which do you prefer?

I'm against Edelbrock just because they are big Chevy people. I'm sure they make a good intake for a Ford but that is not really what they do. What they do is Chevy. Try to find an Edelbrock Ford crate motor. You won't find one.

Not a pleasant fact for Ford folks, but a fact nonetheless.
Edelbrock parts are "Proudly Made in America" for me this is a big plus. as far as I know Weiand is probably made in America as well. I try to avoid the Chinese stuff.
As a side bar, Edelbrock started their brand making speed parts for flathead Ford Engines.... the demand curve turned.
Edelbrock makes some nice Victor Jr. heads for Fords....

Edelbrock has recently started making good stuff for Ford. They used to not care about us, but not so much these days. But yeah, they are primarily a Chevy crowd, but the Ford stuff they make now is actually really good, especially heads and intakes.

Is it just me or does everyone realize chinese made items are really substandard?

IMO they might be big Chevy people because more traditional speed parts have been, and still are, sold for Chevrolet than for Ford or Mopar. There has to be enough demand for suppliers to profitably fill the gap to overcome the overhead for production of castings etc.

Given the fact that it seems any toy recently made in China is being recalled due to lead paint, yeah, I think everyone notices. We all prolly notice most of all, since most automotive parts, and ESPECIALLY those in performance engines, are often subjected to extreme conditions and the quality must be good or the part fails.
