Default headlight issue

so the last few times ive gone to drive at night i noticed that my headlights would just randomly dim and turn off and flicker. now the fog lamps stay on fine, so do the tail lights and my blinkers. its just the main headlights.

so could it be a short somewhere or maybe a bad ground?

I just repaired my headlights also. Check your ground.

This is the thread I had trying to fix mine, maybe it will help.

+2 on the ground

BUT

are other lights dimming too? If so, you may want to have your battery checked.

nope all the other lights work just fine. its only the headlights that dim and turn off.

Same thing happened to me except all of the lights in my car did it, dashboard and all. Everyone told me it was the headlight switch so I went out and bought a new one, but turns out that wasn't the problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming anyone for bad advice!.. just saying to look beyond the "quick solution".

I never fixed it, lol, I'm waiting for summer.
