Replacing carbs
I have 1965 289 2bbl and I am looking to replace it and put a 4 bbl with a new intake manifold. What other kind of work am I going to have to do to it besides the switch? any advice is well welcome

RE: Replacing carbs
Depending on the carburator you purchase some already come tuned in the box so you may not have to adjust your carburator.
I suggest you read this http://www.mustangsteve.com/intake.html then follow up with your carb replacement as followed its a straight forward swap mostly just make sure you get a good seal on the intake manifold.

RE: Replacing carbs
Members her seem to enjoy both carbs either eldelbrock or holly.I am running a 4 barrel Holly i havent tried eldelbrock but i would like too. Just make sure you have the right cfm. I believe you can get more out of a holly it has the ability to be tweaked and such for performance where as eldelbrock is more hassle free just bolt on and go.
