Drum brakes locked up...
I am not having this problem with my mustang, but with an old golf cart that I have. I would like to figure out what is wrong so i can fix it, and so I wont mess up the brakes on my stang. That said, here is what is going on:
I had it up on jackstands for about a month to do other work, and had the wheels off the whole time. When I lowered it back down with the wheels on, the back tires would not spin at all. I lifted it back up, and took the wheels off and the hubs spun just fine. After hours of troubleshooting I was able to figure out that whenever I tightened the drum onto the hub (even hand tight, even with no wheels on) it would stop the wheels from spinning. Any ideas?
