Default arnt shorties supposed to work with a stick shift?

was looking at these, might get em till I can afford somthing better, but it says in applications, it doest go with a stick. (73 coupe, PS)..Im thinking its a typo, but am I missing something?? and since im on here, would these headers be good with GT40 heads? (want to get somthing that will work when I make that switch down the road)

To run shorties and use a manual you need either a cable or hydraulic clutch or headers built for a clutch car, the factory z-bar won't work with mostshorties.

oops, forgot the link!were these http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

a while back i was looking at longtubes and it seemed like none of them would fit a clutch either. I was then told to look for shorties. I am however running a 302 and its a 73..so things might be a little odd. thanks for the link, ill talk to em tommarow and mabeye get somthing worked out.

Why shouldn't you get them chrome plated?

I ordered a set of BBK shorties and they only had the option of chrome plated and ceramic coated. Ceramic is too expensive for my pocketbook right now

Very true.

They only make the BBk in chrome or ceramic. Chrome was $175 and I think they wanted $450 for ceramic...way too much for me

I'm keeping my fingers crossed here. I get the BBK shorties on Tuesday. They are designed for a 86-90 Mustang but since I have the cable clutch and rack and pinion I am hoping that they will clear with no problem.

Keep your fingers crossed for me
