2 speed shifter needed (hone-o-drive)
I have a Hone-O-Drive unit I am installing in my '66 coupe and need a shifter for it. It is the model that replaces the pinion retainer on the 9" axle. I am thinking about using a cable and boat throttle type shifter (like they used in the 60's). It will mount on the transmission tunnel next to the drivers seat. I can also explore the idea of an electronic solenoid shift too. Anyone have any ideas as for what I could use for the shifter? I have searched up and down and came up with nothing.
Another note, has anyone had any experience with the hone unit?

Hahaha, I thought I might get that. It is basically a 2 speed gearbox that goes between the tranny and the drive axle. One speed is direct drive and the other is 30 percent overdrive through a set of planitary gears. It is just like a gear vendors unit only it was made back in the 70's. I thought some of the older folks on here might know a thing or two about them.

OK, here's the scoop. I have two of these units, one NOS, as well asother info. Basically, the shifting is done with a lever, usually stuck through the passenger side of thetransmission tunnel, and is accomplished with a piece of EMT (electrical conduit) cut to length and crimped onto the end of the OD unit.
