well like i said i want it as low budget as possible. And i kno new heads are right around 1200.00 thats alot for one part.

it is alot but they flow a boatload of air. there really worth it ive heard.

not only that im not lookin to make a beast i just want a decent power 400hp sounds good but 1200 heads dont. what about the gt-40's how are those cant i just take them off the 5.0 and bolt them up to the 289 whats a good port and polish and rebuild job run??

My next engine build will be a 289,,,, a friend just gave me the block today....

It will be a High RPM screamer...... I have always wanted to build a short stroke screamer....

My friend also gave me a crank, pistons, and rods... I wish he had given me this stuff a while ago... I would have given it to My77Stang when he needed them.....

Timing is everything....

look into the patriot heads they are cheaper than the afr but comparable in term of airflow souupsedly afr old castings??

I have been looking at that the last couple of days. GT40P flow a little better but you can't use stock headers. I bought some today for $225.00 local. They are heads off a 98 9900or later V8 Ford Explorer.

96,97 ar eht eonly years for the gt40 98and up are gt40p
