But the guitar center stuff was no intrest for 12 months. so i couldnt pass it up..
What's the interest after 12 months? Nearly every time you get an offer like that, you can only make small or no payments during the "no interest" period, then they slam you with three times the going rates

Of course, this is me talking with my don't take loans or buy things you can't pay for completely attitude my parents have invested in me, you may have actually found a deal that isn't a scam with that music stuff.

I also need some help with a rust hole,, its about the diameter of an ink pen and on the rear passenger quarter lower section about 8 inches from the bottom.. Is a patch the better option or would I be able to weld a small hole like that shut? I will probably opt for the patch.. I will put up pics tomorrow..
The rusted area is likely much larger than the hole. I would personally make a patch just larger than the area affected by the rust. Then place the patch over the area and trace with a fine line Sharpie pen. Cut out the rusted area to the line you just made and butt weld in the patch. Grind weld smooth, a tiny amount of filler and paint and you are done.

That's what I would do.

Thanks 109jb.. That sounds like what I will do..

As for the Instruments,, I agree, guitar center is pretty pricey sometimes, but I live only about 10 miles from the place and usually get pretty good deals.. Every time they have this no payment no intrest sale thing I jump on and rack up on gear.. Otherwise I couldnt afford the stuff.. And whoever said it was right ,, after the year is up the interest accumulates from the date of purchase at 21%apr,, but I allways pay off way before that happens.. Then wait for the next sale and rack up some more..

Ive been a musician all my life and that will never stop.. Ive only had the mustang for about a year now,, and I must say, I wont be able to stop with that thing either.. anyway,, here is a pic..

My set in the garage, before the mustang..

Band practice all set up..

The one on the ship was taken on the day we crossed the equator "wog day" underway for about 3 months at that point and the only thing that kept me sane was the drum set and my musician buddys..

Absolutely nothing wrong with dropping cash on your music interests. Looks like you got a sweet setup, Boog.

I am an artist and when I buy new cameras or other $pendy equipment, I like to buy it on Zero interest for a year or 6 months and pay it off before the time is up. I won't buy something I cant afford to buy outright but if I can stagger the payments and its the same as cash, why wouldn't I?

Plus you gotta have your toys and your hobbies. And it is amazing how easy it is to convince my wife that $2k worth of camera equipment is a good investment and I can't get her to see that $2k worth of Mustang upgrades is a good investment.

I guess the art supplies eventually pay for themselves and the Mustang probably never will.
