Our 1st stang arrives home!
A 67 Mustang Coupe with a 289 and C4 trany. [sm=happy046.gif]I've been looking for months for something that fit and finally found it!
Just bought it locally here in Jersey and found it less than 6 miles away! Its looks to be pretty solid, the front floors need replacing but the rest of the body and rails look to be good. I've only found 4 small cancer holes in the original body and the largest is smaller then the palm of my hand. The car has basically been sitting for the last 6 years or longer. The 289 was refreshed about a year ago I'm told however after it was done the car was parked again. New gas tank about a year ago which was almost empty but after 5 bucks of fresh gas I was able to bring her to life again. Running rough of course but at least it did start
Planning a complete strip down, Shelby front end and hood along with the rear Shelby trunk, all new interior, disks brakes, manual trans, new wiring, paint, exhaust, suspension, etc, etc, etc. The restomod will be done with my father and friends.
Once completed it becomes the wife's new daily driver. She's already picked out the colors.. Dark Moss Green exterior and carpets. Ivy Gold interior, seats, headliner. Black dashpad, dark moss green upper dash and ivy gold green on the lower dash.

RE: Our 1st stang arrives home!
Thanks all. Yeah I've always liked the 67/68 look the best.. as does the wife. Its a 67 and came with the factory option for seatbelts but also going to get the 68 side marker lights and the 68 Shelby hood with the intakes that are right up at the front of the car. She likes this look over the 67 where they were more centered in the hood. I think she picked out good colors for the car as well as the dark moss green and ivy gold will offset each other nicely. We're a long way from paint butit'll come. I'm in hopes to have it done by mid/late summer as I'll have 4 or 5 solid months to work on her most days. If it takes longer thats fine but I'd kinda like to see her done in that time frame.
