Default Tri-Y headers with a t5/tremec 5 speed? Will they fit?

Everyone tells me Shelby style tri-y headers with a T5 or Cobra R 5 speed bellhousing in a 65-70 Mustang won't fit due to the larger size of the T5 bellhousing. Does anyone know what brand of Tri-Y's, if any, will fit a 67 (or a 65,66, or 68) with a stock Ford T5 bellhousing and a 5 speed(either T5 or Tremec)? And no, I don't want to use shorty's or regular long tube headers

Yes, James was a great help in pointing me in the right direction. I have a T-5 as well.

I heard that Tri-Y's will fit but I am not sure about which ones or with which modifications?

-------

Last week I found out the Flowtech long tubes will *not* work. They hit the clutch cable and the steering shaft on the bottom.

Last night I found out that BBK shorties will *not* work. They hit the shock towers.

I talked to Stan over at Ford Powertrain Applications (FPA). He was very helpful and did have 2 solutions for me:

"OK, we in fact have a header for T-5 cable clutch and rack and pinions ny Total Control, Randals racks and RRS to the best of my memory. 3/8" flanges, HD 16 Ga tubing and 3" ball and socket collectors. MAX ground clearance. Available bare for $495 or Cerma coated for $695. Some other steering racks have NOT been confirmed with us. If you bought a set of flo techs, boy are you going to be impressed !"

His contact information is:

(253) 848-9503

I did not order my headers from him due to cost restraints.

I ordered a pair of Hedman (HED-88400) Shorties for $149:

I get them tomorrow so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they drop right in. If not I think I am going to cry

If you don't mind spending a little more money I have heard some great things about the JBA Headers:
