Default A little Help-hood inner surface

My hood (underneath) on the inside.....the paint is chipping and missing...but it is only on the areas inside the support sections...I think some/all of the 69 mustangs had insulation installed in those area....mine is a1966.Has anyone restored (made this area look better) in a way other then having the whole inside of the hood painted?
Love to here from you guys. Thanks Scott

Depending on how good you want it to look, it really wouldn't be that hard to repaint the underside of the hood. Trying the match areas in the middle of the hood, depending on what it is painted with, would take as long as painting the whole thing. Mask off the top side, four bolts and it's off. Remove the loose paint with a gray scuff pad or 400 grit, wash with warm soapy water, wipe with lacquer thinner and prime and paint. You will have to do almost that much to patch the spots, anyway!
