RE: 8 barrel manifold
I take it you are talking about a webber setup like the pic below. As for price all can can offer is that I picked up two of those for work from Hollen-moody for $700 a piece. But the boss feel that he got charged a premium price. We sell the whole setup on our engines as a $2000 upgrade if that gives you an idear.

itll be in 70 coupe, kind of like that really tall though.
my grandpa was telling my you can do a two linkage? somethin like the first two barrels of the first carb would run the car till you got on it then all 6 would kick in? what kind of gas millage am i looking at?
i was thinking of maybe offering him $600 for it.
it would be on a bored .30 over 302 with a 3-speed?

Hi!
If you do a race Egine, its a great Intake. If you do a street engine, buy it, clean it and place it with a spotlight in your living room.
You pay a lot for 4 x Weber Carbs, some more to get them ready and to get them syncronised its a nightmare, it can take days, and when you get em they use gas.

Dual carb setup - cool factor of 8
Dual carb setup on a stock 302 streetability factor of 2
Take your 600 and invest in a nice dual plane edelbrock performer intake and a nice shiney new Holley 600 with vacuum secondaries.

RE: 8 barrel manifold
Is it a dual four barrel intake (accepts 2 4 barrel carbs) or one that accepts 8 individual webers? If ti is just a dual 4 barrel setup with no carbs, then it wouldnt be worth more than $200, with the 2 carbs maybe $400 if the carbs are good. I agree with James W though, if your engine isnt built out the a$$, then you will be majorly hurting your performance because you will simply flood the engine when you get into it. I have an RPM airgap with aluminum edelbrock rpm heads and an rpm cam, and im just running a 650 Demon on it. My car is going to have to get a stall converter though b/c from a dead stop, if I stand on itthe carbtrys to dump too much fuel. Stick with an edelbrock performer intake and a 500 cfm carb if your engine isotherwisestock. You'll be happy with the results.
