Very cool find..
Well, tonight I was trying to work on the 67 a bit. I've been tearing things out from under the dash to gain access into that region. Kinda scary really, the rest of the car has had work done to it but up under the dash its mostly original and very dirty. I was pulling the wiring harness out and I felt something odd tucked behind the dash beside the ignition. I took it out and was surprised to find a piece of folded up paper. Now, this is the first thing Ive really found on this car, it was stripped when I got it so everything was already cleaned out. VERY carefully unfolded it and its the build sheet for the car from the assembly line!
How many of you guys actually have this? I figured its pretty rare to have one, since the paper is over 40 years old and isnt protected in anyway. Mine is really crumbly and dirty but I can still read most of it.
My dad said that they all have the sheet hidden on them, and since it was tapped there, I guess that makes sense. Everyone should sticktheir head up there and see if you have it. Mine tells me all the options my car was equipped with, drivetrain, VIN, everything...

thanks, at least i can narrow down where to look. I thought they were above the cardborad glove box and mine certainly wasnt there when i replaced the insert.
the interior had been part stripped for painting by the PO. ifthe build sheetwas there, he was too dumb to save it but he went to the trouble of getting a new door tag made based on the visible vin (which is from a 66 t code coupe following a bender). I bet the real thing was right under his nose the whole time.
