Default 67 Dash top

I'm trying to install a new dash pad from DashesDirect in my 67 convertible. The pad fits pretty well, but the upper dash trim over the glove box won't fit at the same time. I trimmed the edge a little, but it still doesn't fit. Is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else had trouble with this?

the studs on the trim piece line up fine when the dash top is off. When the dash is on, the trim piece won't slide far enough up to line up the studs. That dash looks great. What kind of dash pad is that? Did you have to trim it any?

you and me are going through the same crap. i tried ramming mine on today and trimmed a few.. the top doesnt feel like it slides back far enough and i cannot get the trim pieces on correctly.. i gave up finally and started tearing into the motor. i might just go buy one from NPD so i know it'll fit :/

i paid like 140.00 for mine but it's not "original" it's better but it's molded i think so it's like.. i dunno how to explain it. i'd rather of gotten an original as this one doesn't even have holes for the screws at the lip in the front :|
