Put your VIN in this website and it will tell you more info
http://www.carbdford.com/decode_vin....ufacturer=Ford
See if you still have an emissions sticker under the hood, it will tell you if it was 48 states, california or export.

My aunt used to own a mustang that she imported from the US while she lived in the Phillipines. The phillipines are considered for the most part US territory so importation is easy. Her Mustang was a 70s model as well, but it melted when a volcanoe erupted. She ripped off the front emblem before she had to leave it. That is all that survived. Poor little pony.
