To R & R the timing cover I think you will only need to remove the 2 front bolts of the oil pan that thread into the timing cover itself.

You will need to get access to the timing cover, the alternator, PS pump, and A/C compressor will need to be moved out of the way. The harmonic Balancer will need to go, (you will need a puller for this).

Possible problems might include the water pump bolts breaking. They thread into the block, and through aluminum, (dis-similar metals)and are subject to corrosion. Take your time with the bolts if they don't come loose easy.

i already have removed everything to do the water pump, so since im already almost there i might as well fix it now.

Yep,, I would do the same. Once you are in that far you may as well do it right.
