Default Stock or not, that is the question

Hi,

I am about to order some new valve covers for my 289 and would like some inputs before. I was thinking of repainting them the original color but it will be less painful and nicer if I buy new ones.

So the question is, should I go for the blue ones or should I go for some non-stock ones? I already have a HiPo style air filter so it is not 100% stock.

Pictures and references are welcome!

Thanks,

the choice is entirely yours to make

what are you trying to achieve overall with the look of the car?
Is the engine bay neat/ clean/ painted or is it original?

I am not a fan of chrome as it tends to rust and needs too much work to keep clean.
I did have polished alum on the stang but have since swapped those to another engine and gone back to stockcovers with the mustang. Polished alum still needed work to keep clean but IMO not as bad as chrome

If you plan on going to roller rockers at some point you'll need valve covers that can clear them.
