how do i remove my dash pad?

Jessie, I just removed mine last night and there was like a million hidden screws holding it down haha. Sorry, cant help with the 66 though...

Remove the trim under the windshield, remove the speaker grill, speaker and defroster ducts. Remove radio, instrument cluster and glove box and door. There are 4 bolts that go through the dash from the back side, one on each end and 2 near the radio. Kind of a pain to get to. Then just remover the pad.

^ man so much easier on a 69, mines just about 7-10 easily accessible screws

Actually, I made a mistake. There are 4 bolts that are part of the dash pad, there are nuts on the backside.

Whew, now I feel better.

If the dash pad is the original one, it will have glue under it, so plan on replacing it because you will have to pretty much destroy the one that is in there now to get it out. Just take off everything that is blocking it and then there are 2 bolts behind the dash (you will have to take of the instrument panel and glove box) and then 2 on either side of the radio.

i got mine out and cracked it where the defrosters go but i got it fixed. suprisinly most of the foam was in tack. thanks guys its the orginial dash pad and i can still re use it yes!!!!
