Default 65 shelby-R fibreglass nose help

I am replacing the front bumper, stone deflector and lower valance with the fibreglass on I bought a CJ's pony parts. I mounted the fenders and upper grill but the lower valance doesn't seem to fit right. Is there modifications that have to be done to the car or valance? The hang up seems to be the lower radiator support is to big for the valance. I real like the look of the open grill look that the open valance give the car. Does the radiator just stay open or is there a screen that goes in front of it?

Any Bears fan knows you all ways have to fit fiberglass parts!
LOL I cant imagine how cold you guys must be right now up there.
The fit of those parts must be sanded and most cases trimmed to fit.
Look @ other picts that is a open area. I havent put that shelby nose on mine yet but looks like it may need a couple of supports if you havent put any in yet.
The guys that have that will start showing up later tho.

Almost any fiberglass has to be fitted. I fit mine before I started the body work [I didn't use CJ] and the thing I found was the hood latch bracket has to be cut off at the stone deflector, otherwise it looked ugly exposed in the opening.Or use the hood pins instead of the hood latch. The bottom lip of the valance in the opening should sit on top of the front crossmember. And you can get a grill for that or I have seen them left open. The grill looks better, IMO!

That is what I figured. I was going to notch the bottom of the valance but wanted to make sure before I wrecker somthing. I am going to cut the support by the stone defector (I agree its ugly hanging down). And it is COLD and it SUCKS, I have to move somewhere warmer where I can drive my cars year round LOL.

the radiator stays open, you can buy a screen from www.cobraautomotive.com i believe you might have to do a little tweaking to get it perfect
