65Coupe, i hear you on the GTO. It was the only one there this year. They had a couple of other goats there last year. There were some really tidy cougars and I couldnt get pics of all the Camaros - I was surprised to see at least 8 '67s and all were optioned different engines etc.
Flying - Ford Australia brought in coupes in 65/66 and did factory conversions. There are very few genuine "compliance plated" ones left. They have wierd stuff like brake boosters left on the left hand side and remoted with a secondary booster on the inner fender RHS.
Probably more than half the imported cars are converted to RHD here. Some, like mine, were left alone but registration rules are tougher for lhd, so better to convert if you want to mod the car. 10 or more years ago, they were cheap to buyand conversion is simple so people just went to town on them and then added wild engines, big wheels etc.
More recently, there are less being converted as people are trying to retain originality and restore accordingly.
