I dont know if you need foam for them but i reupholstered my bench seat in my truck using memory foam as the cushion and plan on using it in my mustang when i do the seats. May have to kind of cut it to fit right but no prob. I've found different amounts of it for much cheaper than theoem foam you can buy. I got enough forthe seat and back of mybenchseat for around $80 as opposed to $300-$450. IMO, its nice and comfortable to sit on and a good investment. You can look on ebay and I've seen it sold there for way cheap, thats where i got mine. They're cheap because they're irregular cut pieces, or so they say.

I do recommend the seat foams to get the proper fit. What type of problems are you having. A hairdryer and spray lubricant such as wd 40 and what I use Tri flow are helpful to actually get the covers on and a little heat to stretch and fit but you have to take your time and be careful not to damage more details and I may can help you more.

I tossed a set i did years ago in the dryer for about 15 min on high. Big help made it a lot easier to slide on then as it cooled down they were tight.

You will need to buy the seat foam to get the proper fit!Take your time and do not get in a hurry.A hair Dryer will help you stretch the material to get the right fit!Do you have new hogrings and hogring tool? I have done several sets and the main thing is taking your time![sm=signs003.gif]

Yeah I have done several sets too. Never thought about the dryer though. Do take your time no real way to get around using hog rings though. On the the inside stays I use several strands of upholstery thread to secure the inside stays and skip the hog rings using curved needles were easier than the hog rings.

+1 on taking your time. I just finished mine, they turned out great except for the seat back corners (ERRRRR). Dont throw away the under wires (forget what there called) if you do weld twohangers together, works great. Dryer and a heat gun also work in the streaching process. No way of detting around the Hog rings though, you will use about 100 of theose pain in the a** things. time and muscel is what youll need. here is a good guide http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/132.cfm
Good luck

I've done the back seats and passenger seat in my car. About to start the drivers seat after sanding and painting the frame this past weekend. Not looking forwards to it as my fingers hurt for a few days after doing the others. The wire that attached the seat is called the listing wire.

One more thing-- Instead of using hogrings to attach the seat to the listing wire, I used zip ties. So much easier and looks better.
