Default How to put the ignition cylinder together

how do i put the 2 peices in the picture together... i lined everything up and it still will not let work... it will just pop right back out...

IDK,,, I tried to line everything up and just kept trying!

I did use some white grease on the cyl, used a screwdriver to turn the switch inside of the cylinder, and pushed in through the little hole while trying to assemble, eventually it went... was neither smooth or easy for me, and I tried so many things that I can't remember what worked... I wasted somewhere in the neighborhood of a half an hour trying to assemble..

you have to use a paper clip to take it apart what about putting it back together i cant remember from when i did mine?

Pffft, those things are cake Those shop manual instructions are great (this is why everyone needs a shop manual). The problem with these things is that if you end up turning the key in the lock cylinder while it's out, you have to go at it with a paperclip again to get it to the right spot for it to go back into the switch, which is one turn counter-clockwise of the accessory position.

ok... i thought i had it together... but it keeps popping back out... why does it do this...



when i turn the key a certain wait it pop's out... i know it is not supposed to do that... are there peices that i am missing or something... when i bought the ignition cylinder and housing... thats all that came with it... any help would be appreciated. thanks
