Default 1967 engine swap

looking at getting a mustang that currently has a 6 in it but I was told that it had a 8 in it to begin with, do the motor mounts have to be changed in order to go back to a v8 and if so what is required ie welding etc.

I think you could probably just switch out the motor mounts. I dont think there would be any welding. I may be wrong but im not sure.

Let me Begin by Welcoming you to the Forums!Does the Stang have 5 lugs?Do not take someones word on what it originally had without verifying it.If you get the Vin# I can decode it for you.I can tell you that if it originally had a V8it will have 5 lugs.Do you have access to the vin or a picture of it?If it originally had an 8 you should have no problem changing it back!!A 289 or 302 will go right in!!Good Luck!!
