http://www.themustangshop.com/clevor.cfm

its doable, tho i think with whats available in aftermarket alum heads, its a questionable job.

That's what the Boss 302 was, a SBF with cleveland heads.

+1 for aftermarket heads. It makes no sense today to put clevo heads on a Windsor with all of the aftermarket heads for the windsor that are available.

im a romantic, i find it awsome to swap factory parts like that and to build power with ford castings. its exotic, its different, its definately cool.

one of the people on here had a 408 or 427 with 351C 4v heads and i never got to hear how it ran. i'd like to know

I like the idea of being different also. We've got a 347 at the shop that's a clevor motor we're putting in a Racnhero. Can't wait to see what that thing drives like.

cant argue with that either, it does have a lot of cool factor.

to me, its just the weight of cast iron heads and the manifold options being limited not to mention the expense of setting it all up...if you can do the head work yourself great. If not I'd be buying a set of AFRs or whatever that are bolt on ready to go.

there are always the aftermarket for the C motors that can be used on the W motors.... even MORE power potential

im also on a budget.. so if it isnt that hard to do the cleveland swap,i think i might plus, i might have some connections for porting work on the intake. im also thinking of turboing the motor and a 408 stroker, so with cast heads i wouldnt hafta worry about warping as much. has anyone done the head swap on here?

yeah there are, just gotta find em. there are articles with diagrams on what needs to be done, but its all pretty simple stuff. the hardest thing is drilling out a square hole in the deck surface of the head so you can install a freeze plug. that pretty much needs to happen on a drill press, but everything else is super easy
