Where can I buy Ospho
Is that a name brand or a generic term. It's actually phosporic acid, isn't it? I have looked at Lowes, True Value, Ace and various chain auto parts places. So far, this is the best I have found.

have you tried to sand it after it is converted? does it turn to a hard black surface? or is it easy to sand and the result is a rusty looking surface again? after you convert it does it have to be painted to prevent further rust? thanx

I think the best thing that phosphoric acid does is kill the the surface oxides that occurs after the bare metal is exposed. Also it leaves a zinc phosphate coating that will protect the bare metal untill the finishes are applied. You may have this confused with POR 15, which is hard to sand and nothing wants to stick to after it cures (better used in hidden areas only).
