Well im finishing up the 67 and its rubber molding time. Last night I was finishing up all the rubber in and around the engine compartment. Everything went smooth until I came across the rubber strip that goes right below your washer nozzles.

I tookmy time to measure the rubber strip out to install the plastic pins. (no problem) Now install time!!!! The fist pin I tried to push into place the paint started to crack and lift around the holebecause of the pressure and over spray in the hole. I almost died because im dealing with a 13k paint job. Thank god the rubber covers thechip 100%. I decided to re tap the remainingholes after that and only ran into same problem on one more out of the 7 holes.

Im very happy you cant see the chip but I now know its under there. I honestly lost some sleep over this but now im over it.( out of sight out of mind!)When I get home the pic's will come.

So for all of you wanting to put big money into your cars paint, think twice, measure twice and understand nothing is perfect and learn from everyone else's mistakes.

Yeah that would have freaked anyone out with that kind of $ just in paint!!Can't wait to see the pics though!

Here is a 1/2 way pic of the rubber, since then,the rubber strip in the back and new spark plug wires and looms. I will post the new pic's tonight
