Tune up and what else???
Hey guys well ive figured i better tune up my 351c beings that i havent since i got it about a year or two agonor changed oil and such so i dont know if the previous owner did or not. I know it hasnt been rebuilt and latly seems to be running a bit rough. So tomorrow im going to get a tune up on her but while im at it what else should i do beings that its got around 100 someodd miles on it. I was thinking a carb tune, maybe a valve job. Im doing everything tomorrow along with changing oil and such so whats a good oil to use and should i add the restorer to the oil?
Hopefully ill notice a big change in how it runs and maybe a few extra horses out of the deal
edit: also should iget some better spark plugs. racing quality? for the tune up or just get whatever they have.

RE: Tune up and what else???
I wouldn't spend any more than a couple bucks on a spark plug. Coppers work great. Platinums are nice if you want them to last longer between changes (good if it's hard to get to your plugs), but any more than that is way overkill.
Depending on where you live, 5W-30, 10W-30, or 10W-40 will probably work fine for you. I like Castrol GTX and Valvoline, and I stay far away from Quaker State and Penzoil. You migth consider adding half a quart or so of Marvel Myster Oil to the crankcase in place of motor oil, just to help clean things out.
