so, i just measured my 85 bronco 9in and it was about 60in flange to flange (prob not exact, its night and cold and the drums are still on but i did the best i could). how badly would it handle/ how much would it stick out if i put it in as is (moving spring perches of course)??

what year car are you putting it in, and when you say flange to flange are you talking about the end of the axle housing or hub to hub including the brakes?

if youre measuring from the inside of one axle tube end flange, to the inside of the opposite axle tube end flange --(where the brake backing plates bolt to the ends of the housing, and NOT taken from the wheel-flange-to-wheel-flange distance, --where the back of the wheel would mate up to the face of the drum/disk) It'll need to be about 52 1/4 " from flange to flange with proper perch movement. There was a post a bit back about this:

a 66 is 52.25" flange to flange soooo you are almost 4" per side to wide. That means once the brake are on the tires will be roughly centered under the outer lip of the rear fender . I don't see any way for that to fit unless you narrow up the housing.

it WILL be 1-1.5in lowered. is it 52.25 or 57.25?? this was measured from the 'plate' the the back of thrum bolts onto, i got 60" roughly
