Opinions on cam shaft.

Opinions on cam shaft.
I picked up a 93 LX 5.0 convertible that had been totaled ina rearend collision. The motor has a little over 100,000 on it. I am getting ready to have it rebuilt but wanted opinions on the cam shaft. I am looking at either the B303 or the E303 from ford . This is going in my 66 which will be a daily driver with a T-5 and an 8.8 w/ 3.55 gears. I will be using the Edelbrock RPM 302 AirGap manifold and 670 CFM Holley Avenger w/ GT-40 cylinder heads M-6049-X303.
So, which one would you recommend?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Opinions on cam shaft.
From what I have been able to gather both of these cams are good to about 5,500 RPM depending upon your setup, -500 RPM For more stock flowing setups and +500 RPM for better flowing setups.
Calls for choppy idle, most like it for the streetbut some do not.
I would consider the cam if I was going back stock or mild performance with an engine.
I found two pretty good review on the cam by typing "B303" "camshaft" and "E303" "camshaft" in a Google search,,, I can not post the links here though....

i'd use something dual pattern like a trick flow stage 1 before i used a ford racing "alphabet" cam. you should be looking at comp, isky, crower and crane as wellbefore you settle on a bump stick.
btw, that 670 is going to be too damn big for what your doing [8D]

I know the local tune and test shop here recommends the E version cams for stock type 302 and 351 to help with performance. I talked with them several years ago about a slight mod on my stock 351 in the Bronco. I know very little other than that.

The 570 is what I was thinking myself. The build should produce horsepower in the range of 340-350, and Holley recommends a 670 for that power range. I may stick with the 570 anyway. Send me a pm on the one you are trying to sell my77stang.
I am trying to use as many ford parts as possible, that's why I picked the cams I did. Aren't the Fords made by Crane?

Crane made a lot of valvetrain parts for Ford. I'm running Crane 1.7 rockers, and they have a Ford part number stamped on them. They were factory on the Mustang Cobras and SVO Thunderchickens.
But yeah, a dual patter cam would run better, as would a 570. I don't know why Holley says 670, or that over 300hp needs 670.
